Speech Duo, PLLC specializes in providing speech and language therapy to the pediatric population. Our primary focus is working with daycares and preschools in our community by offering free speech and language screenings.
If therapy is recommended, we provide on-site therapy sessions. Our clients love that they can depend on us to provide their child with quality one-on-one treatment in their child's daycare while they are at work. No need to take time off work for appointments!
Speech Duo, PLLC is currently focused on servicing a small selection of preschools in central North Carolina. Please see the Locations page for a specific list of these preschools.
Our Services
Free Speech & Language Screenings
Primarily provided as a free service to identify need in preschools and daycares. A screening typically lasts 10-15 minutes and you will be contacted following the screening with results.
Evaluation
An evaluation includes standardized testing, parent/teacher consultation, in depth written evaluation report, phone call to discuss results, and recommendation for treatment.
Treatment Sessions
Our treatment sessions typically last 30 minutes and are one-on-one with the child. These sessions are play based and frequency will vary depending on need and scheduling. You will receive weekly updates on what was worked on with your child as well as suggestions of carry-over practice and activities at home.

We'd be happy to discuss any concerns you have about your child with you. We also offer free speech and language screenings at many local daycares!
All too often we hear about parents being given the advice to "just wait and see" when their child is experiencing speech delays. We are big advocates of early intervention. Ages 2-3 is a great time to inquire about speech therapy if you are having concerns. We can help get them on the right path to prevent issues from persisting or worsening.
Frequency can vary one to two times per week based on severity of the delay and visits typically last 30 minutes.
It varies; unfortunately, length of therapy is not something that can be accurately predicted and depends on what is being targeted, severity, carry-over of practice at home, and motivation, among other things. We’ve seen some children for as little as 6 months and others for years.
